By the way: Only a few meters away from our apartment house in Flachau is the valley station of the Star Jet 1, which brings you quickly and comfortably to the fantastic hiking area Grießenkar, where countless hiking and adventure trails await young and old hikers.

The Flachau Valley and the Flachau mountains can be explored excellently by bike. Whether adventurous with the mountain bike, relaxed with the e-bike or racy with the racing bike - on more than 500 km of signposted routes, all types of cyclists get their money's worth. Challenging mountain passes with fantastic views await racing cyclists. Mountain bikers look forward to over 40 elaborated tours and e-bikers cycle with pleasure in front of the dreamlike scenery of the Dachstein. Throughout Flachau you will find Energy Bases for e-bikes, where you can charge your electric bike free of charge.
Spas & Baths
Bathing is simply part of summer. With the bathing lakes in Flachauwinkl and Reitdorf, two family-friendly bathing lakes offer cooling on hot summer days. And the best: both Flachau bathing lakes are free of charge! If the weather doesn't play along, we recommend a visit to the Erlebnis-Therme Amadé in Altenmarkt. Thanks to a variety of slides, a wave pool and many brine relaxation pools, bad weather days are best spent here.
Excursion destinations
The province of Salzburg has countless exciting excursion destinations to offer. Even the historic city of Salzburg can be reached by car in about an hour. In the immediate vicinity of Flachau we would like to recommend a visit to the adventure castle Hohenwerfen, to the Dachstein glacier and to the Eisriesenwelt Werfen, the largest ice cave in the world. Always worthwhile is also a trip to the mountain inn Sattelbauer, where a fitting culinary reward awaits diligent hikers.
